Who runs this service
Occasional Chef is published by OmniLearnConsultingCommerce LLC (Wyoming, United States), 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. By using the site you accept these terms. If they do not suit you, do not use the service.
The service
Occasional Chef offers recipes, cooking articles and tools that generate recipes, weekly menus and fixes from what you type. Part of it is open to everyone; some features need an account or a subscription. We may change, pause or remove features, and we give notice when the change matters.
Your account
You must be at least 16 to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens on your account. Give accurate information and tell us if you suspect someone else got in. One account per person.
AI-generated recipes
The tools produce automatic suggestions. They can be wrong: rough cooking times, odd quantities, strange pairings. Always check before cooking, especially internal temperatures for meat and the presence of allergens. We do not guarantee the accuracy, the result or the food safety of a dish made from a generated recipe. Your own judgment stays in charge.
Allergies and health
Content on the site is for information and does not replace medical or dietary advice. If you have an allergy, an intolerance or a health condition, rely on a professional and read the labels of what you buy.
What you post
When you make a recipe public or fill in your profile, you keep ownership of it, and you give us the right to show it on the service. You confirm it is yours and does not infringe anyone's rights. Hateful, illegal or misleading content, spam, and anything unrelated to cooking are not allowed. We may remove content that breaks these rules, without notice when needed.
What you may not do
- Scrape the site at scale or deliberately overload our servers.
- Try to get around security, authentication or usage limits.
- Resell or redistribute site content without permission.
- Pretend to be someone else, or to be Occasional Chef.
Subscription and payment
Pro is billed through Stripe, in advance, for the period you choose (monthly or yearly), in US dollars when you subscribe from the English site. It renews automatically until you cancel from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: you keep access until then, with no prorated refund unless the law requires one. If the law gives you a right to withdraw, it applies. We may change prices for future periods, never retroactively, and we tell you before it happens.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links to third-party stores. If you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you, and we say so on the page. We are not responsible for those stores' products, prices or terms: your purchase is made under theirs.
Intellectual property
The text, editorial recipes, photos, code and visual identity of the site are ours or used with permission. You may view and print a recipe for personal use; public or commercial reuse needs our written consent.
Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service available, without promising it will never be interrupted. The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site, and any liability is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months.
Ending the relationship
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning when possible, immediately in case of serious abuse.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without taking away the mandatory protections of the place where you live as a consumer. If there is a dispute, write to us first and we will look for a fix.
