Step 1 :
Start by preheating your air fryer at 180 degress C.

In a hot pan over medium heat, sauté your diced onions and minced garlic with olive oil until they turn soft and translucent.

  • Add the Moroccan spice mix, stir well, and sauté for about 2 minutes until the spices are well toasted.
  • In your blender, add the chickpeas, sautéd mixture, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Blend until you have a rough paste but still have some chunky texture.
  • Form the chickpea mixture into burger patties, and set aside.

Step 2 : Place your patties into the preheated air fryer, and cook for about 15 minutes or until they are nicely browned on both sides.

While your patties are cooking, prepare your Tzatziki sauce. In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, fresh dill, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

  • Once your patties are cooked, assemble your burgers. On the bun, place lettuce leaves, followed by a chickpea patty. Top with a generous spoon of tzatziki sauce, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and red onion. Add a dill pickle on the side if desired.
  • Repeat for remaining burgers. Serve warm.

Step 3 : This Moroccan Chickpea Burger with Tzatziki sauce is a flavorful, vegetarian alternative to the traditional beef burger. With an inviting blend of Moroccan spices, this dish is not just tasty but also high in protein. Paired with the creamy Tzatziki sauce, it is sure to satisfy any burger craving! Enjoy your meal!
