A cup of flour and a cup of sugar do not weigh the same, so there is no single “cups to grams” number. The charts below give the weight for each common ingredient, measured the way most American recipes assume: spooned into the cup, then leveled with a knife.

Common questions
How many grams are in a cup of flour?
About 120 g of all-purpose flour, spooned into the cup and leveled. Scooped straight from the bag it packs down and can pass 140 g, which is why baking recipes that give grams come out more consistent.
How many tablespoons are in a cup?
16 tablespoons. A tablespoon is 3 teaspoons, and 4 tablespoons make 1/4 cup.
How many ounces are in a cup?
A cup holds 8 fluid ounces, which is a volume. The weight depends on what is in it: a cup of water weighs about 8.4 oz, a cup of flour about 4.2 oz.
What is 350 degrees Fahrenheit in Celsius?
350 °F is 177 °C. Recipes written in Celsius round it to 175 or 180 °C.
Is a stick of butter half a cup?
Yes. One US stick is 1/2 cup, 8 tablespoons, 4 oz or 113 g.
